Kind of cold and about to let my mind trick me into believing that the cold morning weather was ugly instead of beautiful

I took this image in Cabarete,Dominican Republic sometime in January of 2011. This is the spot that I arrived to every morning to rent a board and go surfing. It made me so happy, that I must have taken 100 pics of this same image just to make sure the camera had it memorized. Each day after surfing at this spot I would catch a scooter ride back to town and take a nap until dinner. There is a quote that I like “God created memories so we can have roses in December” This image makes me feel bright and happy on cold days in Brooklyn

Looking down from on a pier in Florida… A perfect moment of tranquility… The color blue and splashes of white. Basically I just love surfing and the ocean. The polaroid transfer process captures surfing in the same way super 8 video did

I took this polaroid a few years ago in Long Beach,NY. Aside from the girl being beautiful I love the splash and the edge of this photograph. A perfect calm paddle out on a beautiful day.

This is one of my favorite surfing images. Calming and sparkly. Glitter. Filled with sunlight and blues. I took this Polaroid in Peniche, Dominican Republic in 2011. A lot of the surf polaroids remind me of old surfing super 8 images

This Polaroid was taken in Portugal. It reminds me that the simple is perfection. My favorite shade of blue. A beautiful day with a wooden sign that leads to the beach. The edges of this image are unique from all of my other work. A perfect softness to hide in. This sign is also in the image “blue+sand”. Yoga/surfing= happy/content

Wow. I was hoping and praying that this would be captured. I was watching the sunset turn more amazing by the second. Two kids started a fire to only overload my senses more. They were running around the flames in circles and I made a rule to myself that I would not interrupt them. Even to capture one of the most amazing sunsets,beach fire and silhouette of a surfer that just finished riding through a painted sky and a reflecting ocean. Words fail me. I will let the picture say the rest.
